The Numbers

3 Day Blinds $10,000 to American Red Cross
3M Company $1 million through Project Hope and includes bandages, wound dressings, sterile drapes, splints and medical tape. The company also plans a monetary donation in the form of a company match of employee gifts to the Red Cross and CARE.
Aaron's, Inc. Donated two solar-powered electric systems, valued at $100,000, in support of Haiti relief efforts through ACORP, Aaron's Community Outreach Program. The solar-powered systems, designed by Sundance Solar Designs, LLC, will provide enough power to sustain two medical centers and 34 treatment tents.
Abbott $5 million;  Grant funding and donations of critical pharmaceutical and nutritional products. $100,000 of the $1,000,000 will be distributed to American Red cross, Partners in Health, and Catholic medical mission Board

The eBay Foundation has implemented a special gift-matching program for global employees who make a charitable contribution to the American Red Cross, Oxfam or Save the Children (or a local affiliate) for relief efforts in Haiti. PayPal (81 million active accounts) is waiving the payment processing fees for donations to Save the Children for the next 30 days and has implemented onsite placements – including on the PayPal homepage – where people can click to donate.  On ebay.com people can buy, sell and/or donate items via a dedicated landing page, with proceeds going to Save the Children, The American Red Cross, and other nonprofits involved in the Haiti relief
effort.

Eventide Natural Spring Water Eventide Natural Spring Water shipped almost $10,000 worth of bottled water to Haiti. Eventide partnered with First Choice Transport, a Fort Worth-based trucking company, to deliver the 25 pallets of water to the Delta terminal in Dallas. Delta Air Lines is managing the logistics and shipping the water from DFW Airport to Miami, where it will be taken by sea to Haiti.

First Data Corporation $400,000; half of the donation will aid in immediate relief and ongoing recovery efforts and half will be contributed toward future rebuilding efforts.  Also matching employee donations 2-for-1 to U.S. Fund for UNICEF. As of January 31, 2010, employee giving has reached $150,000. First Data is also waiving credit card processing fees for the U.S. Fund for UNICEF during the period of January 14 through February 28, which is expected to be approximately $100,000.

Gerdau $241,000 in steel plates coverded by zinc, used to construct roofs; the amount is enough to cover nearly 1 thousand residences.
Gildan Activewear Inc.

In addition to making a corporate donation of $50,000 to the Red Cross Haiti Earthquake Emergency Fund, to which its employees have also contributed $30,000, Gildan has focused its aid efforts primarily towards direct assistance to its own employees and those of its contractors, as well as to providing financial assistance to its contractors in the process of relocating and restarting their operations.

The main direct initiatives which have been undertaken by the Company so far are:

- The formation of the Gildan Haiti Relief and Reconstruction Fund, to which the Company has initially donated in excess of $150,000 and its employees have donated approximately $25,000

- Setting up a staging operation in the Dominican Republic to facilitate the provision of temporary shelter, medicine, baby food and diapers

- Provision of over 10,000 boxes of food which feed a family of four for up to five days

- Meetings with all Gildan employees individually to assess their medical, psychological and physical needs for support

- Sponsorship of benefit concerts and donation of T-shirts for fundraising events

Hanger Orthopedic Group

The company is donating $250,000 for Haitian medical relief, including $25,000 in cash and $225,000 in orthopedic devices such as neck braces, fracture boots, wrist splints and limb immobilizers.


Harleysville Insurance

Harleysville Insurance and its employees have combined to donate more than $50,000 toward the ongoing efforts to assist those impacted by the earthquake that struck Haiti on Jan. 12.  Harleysville is pledging $10,000 to the ever-expanding relief efforts. As an additional way to increase contributions and to show its support for the recovery efforts, the company also is matching every dollar employees donate to charitable organizations that benefit the situation in Haiti. So far, employees have made individual donations totaling more than $13,000 to a variety of non-profit organizations. They've also contributed more than $7,000 through employee fundraisers.

Office Depot The Office Depot Foundation has donated $10,000 to Doctors Without Borders to provide medical supplies to Haiti and $10,000 to Feed The Children, which will provide 40,000 pounds of rice to Haiti – enough for 160,000 individual meals; pledged to give Feed The Children 2,500 backpacks to help children in Haiti who have nowhere to keep their possessions.  In addition, they are providing more than 20,000 square feet of store space in the Miami area to the Save the Children organization for use as a distribution warehouse.  They are also in contact with our other non-profit partners that support international relief efforts to see how we can best assist.  Currently, customers can stop by the Copy & Print Center in Office Depot stores in the United States and fax up to 25 pages per person free of charge to Haiti (area code 509).  The free fax offer will continue through April 30, 2010.
