Corporate Leadership Advisory Council

The council was established in 2007 by the U.S. Chamber to highlight and strengthen the importance of mid-market businesses to legislators, policymakers and regulators in Washington, D.C., and to amplify their collective voice on a wide range of policy issues. The council serves as the primary vehicle through which mid-market business leaders provide input to formulate and advance the U.S. Chamber's strong pro-business agenda.

The U.S. Chamber believes that mid-market businesses are a vital part of the American economy and the economic health of the local communities where they are located. While they are both geographically dispersed and industry diverse, they have unique challenges beyond the traditional small-big business paradigm. In fact, the unintended consequences of laws and regulations promulgated in Washington, D.C. often hit this business demographic particularly hard.

To this end, the council is focused exclusively on understanding the distinct challenges of mid-market companies and advocating for a business environment that allows them to compete, grow and create jobs.

Membership in the Corporate Leadership Advisory Council requires mid-market Chamber membership at the appropriate dues level and a recommendation by a U.S. Chamber representative. The Chamber strives for appropriate membership balance on council, including geographic and industry representation. Click here to request additional information on mid-market membership.
