Report on U.S. Corporate Community Investment
The Future of America's Communities and Competitiveness
December 2007
Today, America's companies and communities face diverse challenges that redefine what it means to live and work in the 21st century.
Companies increasingly appreciate that an investment in community issues is an investment in their own future. Many companies and chambers of commerce are leading efforts to make their communities more attractive and competitive in the global economy, but needs to be done to continue to improve our understanding and diffusion of effective community development practices across the country.
The goal of this report is to incite a new line of discourse among leaders in the business, government, and nonprofit sectors regarding the future competitiveness and success of our local communities.
