Second Report on Global Corporate Citizenship

Global Corporate Citizenship:
Corporate Citizenship in Emerging Markets

Increasingly, companies are looking at ways to engage with low- and moderate-income countries around the world. In the process, they generate jobs and speed the flow of goods and services, but they also address social and environmental factors. Often, corporate citizenship is an inherent part of these companies' footprint, wherever they do business.

The report summarizes the rise of corporate citizenship as a tool to tackle global poverty and social challenges, and features the activities of 14 corporate leaders that have discovered the opportunity to "do well and do good" in the emerging marketplace.

Our goal in releasing this report is to increase awareness of the many ways businesses contribute to social and economic development, and to inspire other companies, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations to work together
