Support Disaster Recovery
Following Hurricane Rita, the Chamber Southwest Louisiana, in partnership with local, state and federal departments, opened the Business Recovery Assistance Center.
The Business Civic Leadership Center (BCLC) is the business community’s resource at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for disaster aid and recovery information and best practices. We work to facilitate and improve the effectiveness of business contributions to catastrophic events, such as hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the Southeast Asian tsunami, and 9/11.
In times of catastrophic disaster we:
- Convey status updates and needs assessments from impacted business leaders in the U.S. Chamber network
- Host conference calls to provide information about the type of donations most needed in the impact area
- Connect business-sector donors with credible aid organizations
- Communicate to the public the response efforts of the business sector
BCLC is able to serve the business sector with information and resources for disaster response only through the generous tax-deductible contributions of our sponsors and donors. Please help us maintain our services and capabilities for disaster response by contributing now.
