The third annual U.S.-China corporate social responsibility (CSR) conference co-hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the All China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) was successful at exploring timely topics that included current CSR trends, the linkage between CSR and international investment, and innovative CSR programs. There was general consensus that Chinese companies’ CSR programs are rapidly evolving and that more can be shared among companies and governments.
The conference included remarks by senior China-based executives from Abbott, FedEx, Intel, Microsoft, Cisco Systems and Dow Chemical. The goal of our initiative is to (1) highlight our companies’ CSR work in China, and (2) engage Chinese companies on the importance of CSR as they invest abroad. With Chinese international investment growing rapidly, our activities have proven timely and cultivated useful networks.
Speakers: Senior executives from the following Chamber member companies are confirmed as speakers
- Dow Chemical
- Intel
- Abbott
- Microsoft
- FedEx
