Will local chamber members be locked in to political positions of the U.S. Chamber?

No. Your members will only receive advocacy messages that are agreed to in advance by your organization. Members also have the opportunity to opt-out of receiving future e-mail communications, including advocacy messages.

What if our organization already has a relationship with one of the U.S. Chamber's affinity partners?

If your organization already has a relationship with a U.S. Chamber affinity partner (FedEx, Monster.com, Yellow Transportation), that company will not mail to your member list to promote the U.S. Chamber program; however, there is nothing limiting your members from seeing the discounts and services available to them on the U.S. Chamber Web site or on an e-mail.

Membership List

Do we have to provide our membership roster?

Yes. The U.S. Chamber will only use your membership roster for the purposes outlined in the agreement (PDF) for this program.

What if our members don't have an e-mail address? How can they take advantage of the U.S. Chamber benefits?

This program is an e-mail communication driven program, and therefore members only receive the full value of their U.S. Chamber membership if they have an e-mail address. Encourage your members to get an e-mail address and to submit it to your organization.

Do my members receive a separate U.S. Chamber membership number?

Yes, your members' U.S. Chamber membership number is included in a "Welcome" e-mail sent out when the program launches. Or they may:

Fill out the Member Number Inquiry Form, and it will be e-mailed to them.

Call 1-800-638-6582 and a member service representative will provide them with their membership number.

Their number can be found on the address label of their uschamber.com monthly publication.

Some of our members will not want to take advantage of the complimentary U.S. Chamber membership. How do our members cancel their membership?

Your small business members simply need to call and tell us that they wish to cancel their U.S. Chamber membership. Businesses can call our dedicated customer service line at 1-800-638-6582.

Will you be able to tell us who is and is not eligible to become Federation members?

Yes. You will receive a list of eligible members after submitting your membership roster for processing. Non-eligible members include those with $10 million and above in total revenue, non-profit organizations, and government entities.

What is the frequency of the U.S. Chamber sending information to members?

For information regarding the communications sent out to members, please view the Federation Partnership Communications Plan (PDF).

What is the value of U.S. Chamber membership for small business members?

Small business membership dues start at $365 and increase incrementally based on number of employees. Small business members also receive significant discounts on events, publications, and other special offers.

Will the U.S. Chamber provide a link on your website to my organization's web site?

Yes. Partnering organizations are listed in our online Partner Directory. Additionally, when your members log in to the U.S. Chamber's web site, they will see a co-branded banner which includes your organization's logo and a link to your website.

Agreement

Is there a fee to our organization or our members for this partnership?

No, there is no additional fee associated with the partnership. In order for the partnership and benefits to continue, your organization must maintain your membership with the U.S. Chamber and your small business members must maintain their membership with your organization.
