The greatest challenge America faces is reviving the economy and creating the more than 20 million jobs that are needed in this decade. The only way to meet this challenge is through American free enterprise—the system that has created growth, opportunities, innovation, and jobs and has enabled the American people to fulfill their dreams.

Not everyone appreciates the power of the free enterprise system to turn around our economy and create jobs. Protesters are misdirecting their frustrations at America’s job creators. Citizens struggling under weak economic conditions are losing faith in the very economic system that holds the key to our recovery. Many of our elected leaders are working to dismantle the free enterprise system and replace it with an enlarged and emboldened federal government.

Now more than ever, we must make a clear case for the proven benefits of free enterprise. We must remind the public that our economic system has enabled us to build the greatest, most prosperous, and most compassionate society on earth. We must unleash the same economic principles to restore our greatness and secure our future.
