Akron Employment Workshop - GE Veterans Network Transition Assistance Program

The employment workshop consisted of a classroom session beginning at 8:30 AM followed by GE's own veteran and veteran supporter employees conducting one-on-one mentoring sessions with all pre-registered participants at the John S. Knight Center.  Mentoring sessions focused on resume building, resume writing, and interviewing techniques for all job-seeking veteran and service member participants.

Interested candidates completed the FREE electronic pre-registration in order to participate.  A maximum of 50 participants were accepted for the full workshop.  Once the pre-registered candidates had their coaching sessions, the opportunity will be available for “walk ins” to have a coaching session through the end of the fair.
