Join us Thursday, June 27, 2013 for Hiring Our Heroes - Boston, MA, sponsored by CVS Caremark and hosted at the CVS and JVS Regional Learning Center on 29 Winter Street (3rd floor), from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Employers across all sectors will be recruiting for currently-available positions across all sectors. This hiring fair is FREE and open to veterans, active duty military, members of the National Guard and reserve components, and military spouses.

This fair will feature other resources in addition to employers with available jobs. After the hiring fair, which will include several workshops, mock interviews, resume tips, etc., from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m., free wellness screenings and health care information will be provided.

This CVS-sponsored hiring event is being conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation; the Department of Labor Veterans’ Employment & Training Service (DOL VETS); Massachusetts Committee, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR); the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; NBC News; local Chambers of Commerce, and other local partners.

GE Employment Workshop

The employment workshop consists of a classroom session beginning 1 hour prior to the hiring fair, followed by GE's own veteran employees conducting one-on-one mentoring sessions with all pre-registered participants.  Mentoring sessions focus on resume building; resume writing, and interviewing techniques for all job-seeking veteran and service member participants.

Interested candidates must complete the FREE electronic pre-registration in order to participate.  A maximum of 50 participants will be accepted for the full workshop.  Once the pre-registered candidates have their coaching sessions, the opportunity may be available for “walk ins” to have a coaching session through the end of the Fair (depending on availability).  Please sign up here.
