Career Opportunity Days are non-traditional career fairs. Employers are connected directly with wounded, ill or injured service members through a mutual interest in the employer’s industry or the wounded warrior’s military background. Desired geographic location of service members and employers is also considered in the matching process. Employers conduct on-site interviews with participants who are matched to employer needs and a service member's skills and employment goals.

Career Opportunity Days are limited to about 20 private and public employers and 75-100 wounded, ill, or injured military service members transitioning to civilian careers. All military members in attendance will have already attended employment and transition preparation workshops unless they are attending as a walk-in registrant the day of the event.
