Thank you for joining us March 14th, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, for a job fair for veteran job seekers, active duty military members, Guard and Reserve members, and military spouses, at the Salem Conference Center, Santiam River Room, 200 Commercial St. SE,  Salem, OR 97301.  This event was a one-of-a-kind FREE hiring fair for both employers and job seekers. 

Employers and job seekers were strongly encouraged to pre-register for FREE. Walk-ins were welcome but space was not guaranteed.

This American Legion sponsored hiring event was conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Department of Labor Veterans' Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS), the Oregon Committee of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), WorkSource Oregon, Hero 2 Hired, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, NBC News  and other local partners.

This event had an Employment Assistance Workshop.  The workshop was conducted by the Veteran Staff at the Salem Worksource Office, 605 Cottage Street NE, Salem, OR 97301.  There were 2 sessions daily; Feb 19, 21, Mar 5, 7.  Times were 1000-1200/1400-1600.  For more information, please call 503-378-8574/4917.
