Thank you for joining us Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM for a job fair for veteran job seekers, active duty military, members of the National Guard and reserve components, and military spouses at the Stevenson - D’Alessio American Legion Post #12, 232 Union Avenue, Somerville, NJ. This event was FREE for both employers and job seekers.

A workshop for veterans and military that focuses on resume writing, tips for successfully navigating hiring fairs, military skill translation, and interviewing started at 8:30 a.m. Job-seekers will be admitted to the hiring fair at 10:00 a.m.

This American Legion- and ESGR-sponsored hiring event was conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; New Jersey Committee, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR); the Department of Labor Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS); the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; NBC News; and other local partners.
