Employers with available jobs will be screening and interviewing candidates at the Lawrenceville Armory from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Prior to the hiring fair, job seekers will be empowered to take full advantage of these career opportunities by participating in the GE Employment Workshop
This FREE hiring fair is open to veterans, active duty military, members of the National Guard and reserve components, and military spouses.
This American Legion-sponsored hiring event is being hosted by the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMAVA) conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, NJ Committee, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), the NJ Department of Labor & Workforce Development, the Department of Labor Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS), the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; NJ State Parole Board, NJ State Libraries, NBC News, and other local partners.

The employment workshop consists of a classroom session beginning at 9:00 a.m. followed by GE's own veteran employees conducting one-on-one mentoring sessions with all pre-registered participants. Mentoring sessions focus on resume building; resume writing, and interviewing techniques for all job-seeking veteran and service member participants.
Interested candidates must complete the FREE electronic pre-registration in order to participate. A maximum of 50 participants will be accepted for the full workshop. Once the pre-registered candidates have their coaching sessions, the opportunity may be available for “walk ins” to have a coaching session through the end of the Fair (depending on availability).
