Military.Com Virtual Career Fair

Hiring Our Heroes and TODAY partnered with Monster/Military.com to host a virtual career fair for transitioning servicemembers, veterans, and military spouses.  While veterans from anywhere in the world can attend,  TODAY covered military members in Stuttgart, Germany on March 28th working on their transition from overseas.  This virtual event was held in conjuction with career fairs in Chicago, Ft. Hood, and New York City as part of Hiring Our Heroes one-year anniversary celebration.  In November, our Veterans Virtual Career Fair drew 14,000 veterans.

Hiring Our Heroes is a program by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Capital One, General Electric, Monster/Military.com, The Today Show, NBC News, the Department of Labor Veterans' Employment and Training Services (DOL VETS), the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), and other local chambers.

Online Tools for Veterans and Spouses

Hiring Our Heroes has launched an online partnership with Military.com to complement our face to face hiring fair efforts across the country.  Veterans can get help writing resumes and interview tips; translating military skills, experience, and training into related civilian careers; and finding current lists of employment opportunities with military-friendly employers.
