Join us Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on 801 Mount Vernon Place NW, Washington, DC 20001 for this unique opportunity for employers and job seekers to find their perfect match. NCTA, with support of the Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association (CTHRA), invites Veterans, Guardsmen and Reservists to attend this job fair held in conjunction with NCTAs annual convention and tradeshow. Cable operators and programmers as well as technology and software companies will be conducting on-site interviews and testing for jobs that could be based nationwide.
In addition to the job fair, attendees will have the opportunity to attend career guidance sessions aimed at improving important job applicant skills, such as resume writing and interviewing. NCTA is providing complimentary access to the Exhibit Floor where you can meet with networks who have created world- renowned and award-winning content; and technology and software companies who have created the powerful capabilities of our connected communities.
This hiring event is being conducted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the National Cable &Telecommunications Association, Cable &Telecommunications Human Resources Association, and other local and industry partners.

Hiring Our Heroes Employment Workshop
The Hiring Our Heroes employment workshop consists of a classroom session beginning one hour prior to the hiring fair. This will be followed one-on-one mentoring sessions with all pre-registered and walk-in participants to be conducted throughout the day. Mentoring sessions focus on resume building, resume writing, and interviewing techniques for all job-seeking veterans and service member participants.
Interested candidates must complete the FREE electronic pre-registration in order to participate. A maximum of 50 participants will be accepted for the full workshop. Once the pre-registered candidates have their coaching sessions, the opportunity may be available for “walk ins” to have a coaching session through the end of the Fair (depending on availability).
