You asked? We answered!

At the end of each Institute week, we asked you, our participants, to comment on your experience at Institute.  We took your thoughts to our recent Board meetings and have some answers for you.  

Graduation Rehearsal: This will now take place on Sunday afternoon, allowing all students to take advantage of bonus sessions and Tuesday afternoon free time.  We also hope that by having graduation rehearsal earlier in the week, it will alleviate any pre-IOM Celebration jitters.

Learning Assessment: Part of the Institute experience requires that you participate in a post-Institute learning assessment.  Attendee feedback showed that multiple choice assessments were not helpful to you.  Instead, you will be asked to complete a couple of interactive and situation-based questions at the conclusion of the week on our online social community, ConnectIN.  You can post these responses and collaborate with your class to find the best solution to the scenario we provide.  Faculty members are also invited to participate and add insight on best practices in these situations.

Class Advisors: We will identify class advisors earlier, allowing them to contact you sooner with important information.

Board and Volunteer Recognition: With so many people at Institute, it is difficult to identify the Regents and Class Advisors in the crowd.  The Regents are making it a priority to get to know you better and we now highlight our volunteers on our Web site so you can learn more about them.
