All About Town
Los Angeles is the second-largest city in the United States, with a diverse population representing approximately 140 countries and more than 65 different languages. It boasts great weather with low humidity and little rain. In July, Southern California averages temperatures in the low 60s to mid 80s.

Los Angeles, the entertainment capital of the world, provides a vast array of activities and attractions. Relax on the beach-Loyola Marymount University is just steps away from the Pacific Ocean-or visit Venice Beach, which features an impromptu street carnival. Take advantage of myriad tourist attractions including Disneyland, Grauman's Chinese Theatre, the Hollywood Sign, and the Walk of Fame, or watch a Dodgers' game or a live television show taping. To learn more, visit the Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Local Favorites
Visit Lincoln Boulevard for a variety of dining options. Here you will find Chicago for Ribs, a great place to grab lunch, or Alejo's Presto Trattoria, an intimate Italian eatery. After class, visit Tower Pizza, a local college restaurant and bar, or enjoy some Mexican food and a margarita while listening to live mariachi music at Hacienda del Rey. Lincoln Boulevard is a short 5-10 minute walk from University Hall and the Leavey Apartments.

The University
Loyola Marymount University, founded in 1911, is located on the Westchester Bluffs between the Pacific Ocean and downtown Los Angeles. The 150-acre main campus is beautifully situated overlooking Marina del Rey. Classes, breaks, and exhibits are held in University Hall, located near the main entrance of the campus.
