About Us
U.S.-Korea Business Council
The U.S. Chamber conducts its Korea policy and programs through the U.S.-Korea Business Council, which the Chamber hosts. The Council is the leading bilateral business organization between the United States and Korea and promotes the U.S.-Korea economic and political relationship at the highest levels of government and business in both countries through advocating and supporting policies that encourage the expansion of two-way trade and investment.
The council provides our corporate members with a wide array of products and services including:
Policy Advocacy
- Advocacy of member policy priorities in Washington, D.C. and Seoul;
- Access to high-level U.S. and Korean government officials;
- Issue-oriented working groups focused on advancing Council policy priorities; and
- Active outreach to Korean and U.S. governments and U.S. Congress.
Networking and Events
- Annual plenary meeting with counterparts on the Korea-U.S. Business Council, composed of senior Korean corporate executives;
- Annual gala dinner featuring a keynote address from a leading U.S. or Korean official;
- Regular events and forums in Washington, D.C. with senior U.S. and Korean government officials and business leaders; and
- Access to U.S.-Korea Business Council staff for company-specific issues.
Publication and Information Services
- Annual policy paper highlighting priority issues of Council members;
- Regular alerts on legislative developments and events in the United States and Korea;
- Council website featuring news, issue updates, and a members' only area; and
- Weekly electronic updates on Korea economic and political issues.

Japan
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce encourages dialogue between Chamber members and Japanese officials to improve the regulatory and investment climate in Japan for U.S. business. The Chamber's Japan team regularly reaches out to Japanese government and embassy officials, representatives of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), as well as Japanese business organizations to present Chamber members' views on trade, investment, and regulatory issues. The Chamber also encourages cooperation between the United States and Japan on international economic matters, such as multilateral trade liberalization and intellectual property rights protection and enforcement.
