Biofuels Dialogue Series

On October 25, 2006, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce launched a Biofuels Initiative to address the challenges and opportunities created by President Bush's State of the Union call to vastly expand biofuels production.

The inaugural event in the initiative,  Biofuels and the Future of U.S. Energy, brought together some of the key stakeholders in the biofuels debate, including Secretary of Energy Samuel Bodman, to discuss the outlook for acheiving the Administration's goals.

Based on that initial discussion, the Western Hemisphere division launched the Biofuels Dialogue Series. The objective of the series is to provide a neutral forum where industry and government leaders can come together to discuss the central issues facing the industry.
