The Environmentalist Little Green Book
I Can't Believe They Said That!
Did you know...
That John Muir, the founder of the Sierra Club, thought that "Man is always and everywhere a blight on the landscape"?
That a PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) official said "I do not believe that a human being has a right to life; I would rather see experiments done on our children than on animals"?
That Paul Watson, the founder of Greenpeace, had the "impression that instead of going out to shoot birds, [he] should go out and shoot the kids who shoot birds"?
That Maurice Strong, the head of the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janiero, asked, "Isn't the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn't it our responsibility to bring that about"?
Poll after poll shows that Americans by and large consider themselves environmentalists because they appreciate the environment and support sensible efforts to ensure clean air, water, and land.
However, the most prominent environmentalists have an entirely different agenda - an agenda that aims to alter American civilization to suit their tastes.
But don't take our word for it, read it for yourself. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has published The Little Green Book, a compendium of stupid, extreme, and even misanthropic comments by leaders of groups that are typically portrayed as being in the mainstream.
