How can our employees obtain TAMIFLU?

Employees can obtain a prescription for TAMIFLU through two means:
  1. Employees can visit their primary care physician
  2. Corporate-led initiative (see below)
Requirements
  • TAMIFLU is a prescription product; all states require a prescription written by a physician or other qualified healthcare professional
  • All individuals to whom the corporation intends to make TAMIFLU available MUST receive a physician consult that verifies that the employee’s health meets appropriate prescribing criteria (see enclosed complete prescribing information)
Who can write a TAMIFLU prescription?
  • In most cases, a licensed physician* needs to write a prescription for each individual
  • Mid-level practitioners (e.g., RN/PA) meeting certain state requirements may also prescribe*
How can my organization set up physician consults for our employees?
There are several options, depending on the size of your organization, the number of individuals you are planning on covering and your organization’s existing resources. Here is a list of options:
  • Coordinate patient consults through your existing employee health services or clinic services
  • Contact your health insurer to have them assist your organization in coordinating employee health consults
  • Contact a Contract Healthcare Provider to coordinate employee health consults for your organization
  • Contact a local/community clinic or physician to coordinate employee health consults for your organization
  • For assistance with identifying a contract Healthcare Provider, please contact Roche Laboratories at (973)562-2279.  Please note that Roche does not make recommendations regarding these providers.
