How do we store TAMIFLU?

How is TAMIFLU supplied?

TAMIFLU capsules are supplied in blister packages of 10 (NDC 0004-0800-85). They are 75 mg grey/light yellow hard gelatin capsules. “Roche” is printed in blue ink on the grey body, and “75 mg” is printed in blue ink on the light yellow cap.

How is TAMIFLU stored?

TAMIFLU capsules are stored at 25° Celsius (77° Fahrenheit); excursions permitted to 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F).

Where can we store our TAMIFLU stockpile?

Corporations have two basic options: centralize or decentralize.
  • Centralize:  The corporation can store at a physician’s office, retail pharmacy, mail-order pharmacy, clinic, wholesaler/distributor, etc, that meets the following criteria:
    • Entity has a DEA number
    • Files Controlled Substances Registration (CSR)
    • Adheres to storage guidelines of United States Pharmacopeia (USP)
    • Entity has sufficient and appropriate storage based on your order quantity and distribution plan
  • Decentralize: The corporation can decentralize the TAMIFLU stockpile by arranging to distribute the product to recipients in advance of a pandemic (see How can we distribute TAMIFLU? for more information)
