The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has formed a partnership with Connected Nation to launch Connect!, a campaign to promote broadband proliferation across the country.  Connect! will feature regional events emphasizing the ability of broadband to impact everything from economic development and U.S. global competitiveness to telemedicine and education as well as the need for sound broadband policies.

CONNECT! TOUR

On April 2, 2008, the Chamber and Connected Nation held a press conference to announce a partnership between the two organizations and the launch of the Connect! campaign.  Bill Kovacs, Vice President of Environment, Technology, and Regulatory Affairs with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and Brian R. Mefford, President & CEO of Connected Nation, Inc., both spoke about the importance of broadband to businesses and U.S. economy.  Leroy Watson, Legislative Director of the National Grange, also spoke in support of the newly formed partnership and the Connect! mission.
