Background
In today’s information economy, Chamber members of all shapes and sizes communicate with employees, existing and potential customers, and business partners around the world. They use data to spur sales and job growth, enhance productivity, enable cost-savings, and improve efficiency. The collection and use of this data is under increased scrutiny from the Administration, Congress, and regulatory agencies.
2013 U.S. Chamber Policy Priorities – Privacy
Advocate for policies recognizing that self-regulation and best business practices that are technology-neutral serve as the preferred framework for enhancing innovation, investment, and competition while protecting consumers’ privacy.
