Do Something About It - July 14 & 15, 2009 - Washington, DC
The nation's core surface transportation programs will expire on September 30, 2009. Continuing the status quo is not an option. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce hosted the Transportation is Your Business Fly-In to bring important transportation stakeholders to Washington, DC.
Over 100 attendees from 28 states joined the Chamber in calling on leaders in Washington to seize this critical opportunity to improve existing programs and increase investment in the nation's roads, bridges and transit systems. A well-maintained, modernized, and expanded surface transportation systems is essential to spur economic growth, create jobs, and maintain America's competitiveness in the global economy.
In addition to Hill meetings, many attendees also helped spread the word through interviews with the media and personal video statements. Below are links to a small selection of media clips and video statements.
