Chamber Appoints Robin Conrad Executive Vice President of National Chamber Litigation Center
Washington, DC--Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced the promotion of Robin Conrad to executive vice president of the National Chamber Litigation Center (NCLC), the Chamber's public policy law firm. A long-time veteran of the Litigation Center, Robin has played a key role in shaping NCLC into a litigation powerhouse--setting new records every year for entering and winning cases on behalf of American business.
"Robin's leadership skills and diverse litigation experience make her particularly well-suited to assume a greater leadership role in this Chamber affiliate as it takes on an even more aggressive litigation agenda in 2007 and beyond," said Chamber President and CEO Tom Donohue. "I congratulate her on a well-deserved promotion."
Chief among Robin's litigation accomplishments are developing NCLC's non-labor docket (which now constitutes more than 75% of its caseload), stepping up its Supreme Court practice, and taking a more strategic approach to shaping the law in areas such as punitive damages, class actions, and securities litigation. On the management side, Robin has overseen the steady growth of NCLC's staff, advisory committees, board of directors, membership, and budget.
NCLC, the public policy law firm of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, is a membership organization that advocates fair treatment of business in the courts and before regulatory agencies. The U.S. Chamber is the world's largest business federation representing more than 3 million businesses and organizations of every size, sector, and region.
