U.S. Chamber Expands Voter Education Campaign in Missouri
Statewide TV Ads Highlight John Brunner’s Record of Job Creation
WASHINGTON, D.C.—The U.S. Chamber of Commerce launched a television ad blitz throughout Missouri today highlighting John Brunner’s support of Missouri’s job creators. The Chamber’s ad and grassroots efforts aim to educate the public on pro-growth, pro-jobs issues. Brunner, a St. Louis businessman, is the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate challenging incumbent Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill.
“John Brunner’s record of creating jobs in Missouri demonstrates he understands that free enterprise, not big government, is going to drive the economic recovery in Missouri and across the country,” said Rob Engstrom, the U.S. Chamber’s senior vice president and national political director. “John’s plan to cut harmful government regulations and enact pro-growth policies is what Missouri needs to get back on track.”
“The contrast between the two candidates could not be clearer on business issues,” Engstrom continued. “In Washington, Senator McCaskill has consistently voted for government mandated solutions, including her deciding vote for Obamacare. Senator McCaskill has a record of failure when it comes to standing up for Missouri’s job creators.”
This advertising launch is part of the organization’s largest voter education and grassroots mobilization effort in its 100 year history, aimed at highlighting candidates’ positions on issues critical to the American recovery.
