U.S. Chamber Launches New Ad Blitz in Utah Supporting Senator Hatch
WASHINGTON, D.C.—The U.S. Chamber of Commerce today launched a new ad blitz in support of Senator Orrin Hatch’s re-election, praising his record as a proven leader who fights for families and businesses in Utah.
“Senator Hatch is a consistent conservative leader for Utah, who has a proven record of putting the brakes on bigger government and supporting policies that encourage economic growth and job creation,” said Rob Engstrom, the U.S. Chamber’s senior vice president and national political director. “Whether it’s fighting to build the Keystone pipeline or working to repeal the health care law and the higher taxes that come with it, Orrin Hatch is the type of leader we need in the Senate to secure a brighter economic future.”
During Hatch’s tenure in the Senate, he’s voted to reduce spending, limit the size of government and increase domestic energy production, including fighting President Obama’s decision to block construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline.
The new ad is part of the Chamber’s largest voter education campaign in the organization’s 100-year history. The Chamber’s effort will help ensure that voters know where candidates stand on issues important to the business community.
In the 2010 elections, 236 of the 276 Chamber-endorsed candidates were elected.
