U.S. Chamber Wins Three Telly Awards for Video Commemorating 100-Year History

Video Celebrates Free Enterprise System, Features Interviews With Chamber Members and Staff

WASHINGTON D.C.—The 33rd Annual Telly Awards today recognized the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in three categories for its centennial video titled 100 Years Standing Up for American Enterprise.  The Silver Telly, which is the highest honor, was awarded for use of animation, and the Bronze Telly was awarded in both the art direction and miscellaneous categories.  Award winners were selected from more than 13,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries.

“We are honored that Telly would recognize the effort that our staff and partners put into creating the Chamber’s centennial video,” said Thomas J. Collamore, U.S. Chamber senior vice president of Communications and Strategy and counselor to the president.  “This recognition would not have been possible without the support and passion of Chamber members, staff, and friends.  Our video celebrates 100 years of Chamber history by highlighting the free enterprise principles on which the organization was founded.”

100 Years Standing Up for American Enterprise, made in collaboration with Eye Candy DC and Media-C, depicts the story of how the Chamber got its start, and how it continues to advance the interests of the U.S. business community, foster growth, and create jobs.  Washington influencers, Chamber staff, and members took part in the video and shared their perspectives.

The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 and is the premier award honoring outstanding TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online videos.  A prestigious judging panel of more than 500 accomplished industry professionals judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents.  Less than 10% of entries are chosen as winners of the Silver Telly.  Approximately 25% of entries are chosen as winners of the Bronze Telly.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions, as well as state and local chambers and industry associations.
