U.S. Chamber Launches Investment Policy Central

First of its Kind Online Information Clearinghouse Will Highlight Importance of Open Investment Climate

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Chamber of Commerce today joined with six other business associations to launch a new online information clearinghouse, Investment Policy Central, to highlight the importance of an open investment climate.

“We often speak about the value of trade to our economy, but the importance of international investment is less well understood,” said U.S. Chamber Senior Vice President for International Affairs Myron Brilliant.  “This website explains in clear terms how the U.S. economy benefits from international investment — both inbound and outbound.”

Investment Policy Central will be a center of excellence for the most accurate, up-to-date information on the benefits of an open international investment climate. It presents facts and figures on investment, highlights the benefits of global investment, debunks common investment myths, and provides links to a wide range of resources on investment policy.

Investment Policy Central will continually add timely, relevant content to the site from experts on investment policy and welcome suggestions and input from companies, associations, organizations, think tanks, and academics and other individuals interested in promoting an open international investment climate.

“We aim to develop a community around investment policy,” added Brilliant.  “We invite readers to visit regularly and send us material to add to the discussion.”
