Businesses Wanted for U.S. Chamber Employee Benefits Cost Survey


WASHINGTON, D.C.—The United States Chamber of Commerce is seeking companies to provide data on the cost of their employee benefits for the 2000 edition of its Employee Benefits Study. The deadline for replies is June 30.

Companies can volunteer to participate by e-mailing their contact information to Ebstudy@uschamber.com or by calling Greg Melia at the Chamber: 202-463-5764. Participation takes less than a half-hour, and each participant will receive a free copy of the study.

For more than fifty years, the Employee Benefits Study has tracked the actual cost of benefit payments, documenting its rise from 14.4 percent of payroll in 1947 to an astounding 37.2 percent of payroll in 1998.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world's largest business federation, representing more than three million businesses and organizations of every size, sector and region.
