U.S. Chamber Promotes JP Moery to Vice President
WASHINGTON, DC—The United States Chamber of Commerce today announced that it is promoting John Paul "JP" Moery to the position of vice president, office of association relations, from executive director. As vice president, Moery will oversee relations with the nearly 900 trade and professional associations that are members of the U.S. Chamber.
"In promoting JP to vice president, we are recognizing his outstanding work, as well as strengthening our commitment to the important association component of our federation," said Chamber Chief of Staff Suzanne Matthews. "Under JP's leadership, the Chamber will vigorously expand its network of associations and work more closely with them to advance the business agenda."
In his new role, Moery will continue to improve services to the Chamber's association members, coordinating with the Association Committee of 100, a group of leading association executives from around the country, and with the Chamber's policy team to ensure full association participation.
Prior to joining the Chamber, Moery served as vice president of the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association and as executive director of the American Trucking Associations grassroots program.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world's largest business federation, representing more than three million businesses and organizations of every size, sector and region.
