New Senior VP for Congressional Affairs Lundberg Brings Business, Hill Experience
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The United States Chamber of Commerce today tapped veteran Washington insider Rolf Lundberg, Jr., to head its lobbying efforts on Capitol Hill.
"The Chamber's outreach to administration officials, lawmakers and policy insiders will be extended with Lundberg on board," said Thomas Donohue, Chamber President and CEO. "We wanted the right fit and are thrilled to get someone of Lundberg's background to lead our lobbying effort for pro-business policies."
Lundberg most recently served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, Government and International Relations, for Marriott International, Inc. Previously, he worked for Senator Dole, Majority Leader Lott and the Senate Committee on Finance as counsel on international trade and tax issues. Lundberg was also Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary at the Department of Commerce under former President George Bush and has worked for a number of Washington law firms focusing on government relations and litigation.
"Rolf Lundberg has the experience, the skills and the vision to help move the Chamber's pro-business priorities forward," said Donohue. "It is more important than ever that the Congress, the White House, the federal agencies and the public hear a strong voice for growth and prosperity."
Lundberg – who will report to Chamber Executive Vice President Bruce Josten – will lead the Chamber's 15 full time lobbyists and provide strategic counsel on the Chamber's public policy objectives.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world's largest business federation representing more than three million businesses and organizations of every size, sector and region.
