Chamber Promotes Partnerpoint at COMDEX
WASHINGTON, D.C.—The United States Chamber of Commerce and Key3Media have joined forces to boost business networking at COMDEX Fall 2002 in Las Vegas, the leading information technology trade show of the year in the United States.
"People at trade shows want to drive business by networking," said John Hamilton, Partnerpoint executive director. "Partnerpoint is the tool they need to supercharge their networking during COMDEX week – and for a whole year afterward."
Partnerpoint—a venture of the U.S. Chamber—is a global networking portal that helps high technology companies find business partners. Partnerpoint works with member chambers, American Chambers abroad, foreign chambers, trade associations and other business organizations to promote technology business development around the world. It is supported by Genuity, IDG Communications, Keymind, META Group, Siemens, ServerVault, and Key3Media.
The Chamber's initiative with Key3Media, an information technology trade show and conference producer, brings COMDEX exhibitors and visitors into the Partnerpoint technology community. The Chamber and Key3Media are creating a Global Networking Center to feature Partnerpoint on the COMDEX show floor. U.S. Chamber staff and members of Partnerpoint will also hold educational discussions to highlight ways to help technology companies grow their business.
"The Global Networking Center is where it all comes together at COMDEX—people, ideas, and new business," Hamilton continued.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world's largest business federation representing more than three million businesses and organizations of every size, sector and region.
