U.S. Chamber Announces Office Depot Deal

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The United States Chamber of Commerce today announced Office Depot, Inc., (NYSE:ODP), the world's largest seller of office products, would be its exclusive provider of office products, giving members access to special discounts and services.

"Office Depot's superior customer-satisfaction record, strong local presence and expertise in meeting the needs of small business make it the right choice at the right time for our membership," said Thomas Donohue, Chamber President and CEO. "This partnership will help Chamber members large and small compete and grow their businesses."

The two-year agreement gives Chamber member companies special discounts of five percent off most of the 12,000 different office supply products and equipment available through Office Depot. The program provides members with three convenient means of shopping: in stores, online, or over the phone.

Price and quality of products are the most important factors in purchasing office equipment and supplies, according to a recent Chamber survey of almost 400 small business owners. And four out of five (88 percent) say that convenience of a store's location is important, followed by 70 percent for delivery service.

"Low price, high quality and convenience are the trifecta of a sound business partnership," said Donohue. "Enrolling in the Office Depot program will allow U.S. Chamber members to take advantage of exclusive discounts and the convenience of multiple shopping methods."
