U.S. Chamber Applauds Launch of U.S.-Lebanon Partnership Fund
WASHINGTON, D.C.-U.S. Chamber Senior Vice President for International Affairs Lt. Gen. Daniel W. Christman (ret.) issued the following statement on the establishment of a U.S.-Lebanon Partnership Fund:
"Rebuilding Lebanon and putting the country's economy back on the path to prosperity will require a strong partnership among the government, business leaders, and the Lebanese people. It will require hard work, tenacity, and yes, money. Companies like Cisco Corporation, Intel Corporation, and Occidental Petroleum Corporation are stepping up to the plate to lend a helping hand. The U.S. Chamber is actively engaged with its counterpart in the region, the Lebanese-American Chamber of Commerce in Beirut. We share the same goal-a prosperous, democratic, politically-stable Lebanon. The U.S.-Lebanon Partnership Fund will help achieve that."
The U.S. Chamber is the world's largest business federation, representing more than 3 million businesses and organization of every size, sector, and region.
