U.S. Chamber Applauds House Introduction of Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement Act

WASHINGTON, D.C.-Chris Merida, director of Congressional and Public Affairs for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce issued the following statement on the introduction of the bipartisan Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement Act in the House of Representatives by Congressman Brad Sherman.

"The U.S. Chamber of Commerce strongly endorses the Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement Act. We will continue to work with the House to ensure that this legislation is given due consideration. We are thankful for the leadership that Representatives Sherman, Chabot, and Donnelly have taken in highlighting the importance of protecting intellectual property. We hope this will be one of many pieces of legislation addressing intellectual property theft. There is a lot of work to be done, but today's introduction is a great step in the right direction."
