WASHINGTON, D.C. - The United States Chamber of Commerce today announced its endorsement of Rep. Robin Hayes (R-NC-8) for re-election, praising his strong support for North Carolina businesses, both large and small.
     
"Robin Hayes has been a champion for the people of North Carolina and an invaluable leader on important business issues," said Bill Miller, Chamber senior vice president and political director. "The Chamber believes Representative Hayes will continue to be an effective legislator and supporter of businesses of every size if re-elected."
     
Rep. Hayes has worked to advance pro-growth policies important to his North Carolina district with regard to agriculture, infrastructure, and manufacturing.
     
"On issues ranging from energy to economic competitiveness, North Carolina's business community has no better friend than Robin Hayes," said Miller.

 

The U.S. Chamber has become a major player in national elections, endorsing candidates who have demonstrated support for business priorities and will work to advance a pro-growth agenda in Congress.  In 2006, 222 of the 277 Chamber endorsed candidates were elected.
