Fine Earth, LLC Honored For Finding Success in the Eyes of its Community

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today at America's Small Business Summit 2009, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce honored Harrisonburg-based Fine Earth, LLC with the 2009 Community Excellence Award. The award recognizes the success Fine Earth has had in making—and maintaining—strong relationships with employees, customers, and the larger community.

"This award is recognition of a company completely devoted to its customers, its employees, and the greater Harrisonburg community," said Thomas J. Donohue, president and CEO of the U.S. Chamber. "We are proud to recognize their efforts and hope that their success is contagious."

From the U.S. Chamber's 56 Blue Ribbon Small Business Award winners, each business had the opportunity to invite members from their community to show their support by voting online between Monday, April 6 and Friday, April 17. Fine Earth received the award today during a luncheon at America's Small Business Summit 2009. The annual event brings hundreds of small businesses to Washington, D.C. to meet with business leaders, members of Congress, and administration officials and to discuss issues that are important to growing their businesses and the economy.

The Small Business of the Year Awards, sponsored by Sam's Club®, pays tribute to businesses showcasing exemplary business practices in the areas of staff training and motivation, community involvement, customer service, and business and financial planning.
