U.S. Chamber's International Division Welcomes Peter Chase to Lead European Office

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Senior Vice President for International, Myron Brilliant, issued the following statement today announcing that Peter Chase will lead the Chamber's European Office as the Senior European Representative, based in Brussels:

"Combined with the recent selection of Peter Rashish as our new Vice President for Europe and Eurasia, this appointment reflects the Chamber's determination to strengthen our ability to advocate on behalf of our members on both sides of the Atlantic."

"Having served as a foreign service officer for more than 30 years, Mr. Chase is well accustomed to promoting U.S. business interests abroad."

"Chase will contribute seasoned experience and a wealth of knowledge as he builds upon working relationships with European leaders, national governments, key business associations, and top-level EU business executives to promote a pro-business agenda in foreign capitals. We are fortunate to have him join the team."

Immediately prior to his joining the Chamber, Chase served as Minister-Counselor for Economic Affairs in the U.S. Mission to the European Union. Before this, he was employed as Director of the State Department's Office of EU Affairs. He also served as chief of staff to the Under Secretary of Economic Affairs and as Counselor and Minister-Counselor for Economic Affairs in the U.S. Embassy in London. Other relevant assignments include working as Director for Investment Affairs at the Office of the U.S. trade Representative as Foreign and Economic Policy Advisor to Senator Bill Bradley (D-NJ).
