U.S. Chamber Applauds Senate for Taking Crucial Step to Prevent Tax Hikes on All Americans
Bipartisan Vote Sends Message to House to Pass Measure in Its Current Form
WASHINGTON, D.C.—U.S. Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President for Government Affairs Bruce Josten issued the following statement today on the Senate’s vote to end debate and advance the bipartisan tax compromise legislation:
“We commend the Senate for taking this crucial step to prevent looming tax hikes on every American, including small businesses. Today's strong bipartisan vote sends a clear message to the House of Representatives that they should take this measure up immediately and pass it in its current form. This bill will go a long way toward restoring the certainty that employers have been seeking in order to expand and put more Americans back to work.”
