U.S.-China Business Dialogue Underscores Importance of Private Sector Cooperation
WASHINGTON, D.C.—The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), one of China’s largest business federations, today hosted the annual U.S.-China Business Dialogue to highlight investment opportunities in both countries and the importance of market-based innovation policies and practices.
“By organizing a candid and friendly dialogue between the two business communities, we are advancing cooperation and common understanding of the challenges and opportunities in both markets,” said Tami Overby, the U.S. Chamber’s vice president for Asia. “The Chamber welcomes continued growth of two way investment and trade. We encourage additional Chinese investment in the United States, and further market access and investment opportunities for U.S. companies in China.”
The U.S.-China Business Dialogue is led by the U.S. Chamber and CCPIT. The annual dialogue is a mechanism for the Chinese and American business communities to engage in policy discussions on issues of importance affecting the commercial relationship. The participating senior business executives were from influential U.S. and Chinese companies specializing in a broad range of industries.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions, as well as state and local chambers and industry associations.
