U.S. Chamber Comments on Senate Vote to Repeal of Health Care Law

WASHINGTON, D.C.—U.S. Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President for Government Affairs, Bruce Josten, issued the following statement today ahead of the Senate vote to repeal the burdensome health care law:

“Today the Senate will have an opportunity to end the misguided health law and begin an effort to bring real reforms that lower costs.

“There is no question that the health law threatens the ability of employers to create jobs at a time when our economy is still struggling with high unemployment. It is time for supporters and opponents of this law alike to acknowledge that this bill has not achieved, and will not achieve, our shared goals of lower costs and higher quality health care for Americans. A vote to repeal this bill is an acknowledgment that we must do better for American businesses and workers.”
