U.S. Chamber Commends Senate for Passing Bill to Repeal Burdensome 3% Withholding Tax Mandate
WASHINGTON, D.C.—U.S. Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President for Government Affairs Bruce Josten issued the following statement today applauding the Senate for passing H.R. 674, which repeals the burdensome 3% withholding tax mandate:
“The Chamber applauds today's bipartisan vote to repeal the onerous 3% withholding tax mandate. This common-sense action to remove one of the many onerous government burdens on job creators is a positive sign that Republicans and Democrats can accomplish important measures to help the economy. We urge the House to quickly pass this legislation and look forward to the president quickly signing it into law. The business community appreciates the leadership of Senator Scott Brown as well as Democrat and Republican leaders in the House and Senate for making this important repeal a reality.”
