U.S. Chamber Names Mia Kelly Walton Vice President of Communications and Strategy
WASHINGTON, D.C.—The U.S. Chamber of Commerce today announced that Mia Kelly Walton has been named vice president of Communications and Strategy. In this role, Walton will work to broaden the reach and grow the impact of the Chamber’s messages, as well as enhance the awareness and visibility of the Chamber and its many programs.
“Mia is a strategic, creative, and accomplished executive with a strong record of developing and delivering a wide range of communications programs,” said Tom Collamore, senior vice president of Communications and Strategy for the Chamber. “Mia’s talents and expertise from both a corporate and government perspective will continue to serve the business community well and will be extremely valuable in our ongoing efforts to promote and protect America’s free enterprise system."
Walton most recently served as the senior vice president of Corporate Marketing and Communications for Rolls-Royce. While there, she led their corporate marketing and communications team and was responsible for all external and internal communications programs and activities in North America.
Prior to Rolls-Royce, Walton served as a corporate spokesperson for General Motors. Previously she was Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff and subsequently Associate Director for Media Affairs for President George H.W. Bush.
Walton received her B.A. from Yale University.
