Statistics and Research Center FAQs
How can I find out statistics related to my company’s industry?
The U.S. Census Bureau maintains an extensive system for obtaining various business industry statistics. You will first have to determine your company’s NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) code to search these statistics. A detailed description of each categorization is included to ensure a proper fit.
In addition, many trade associations maintain or provide statistics specific to their industry, or list related links on their website. Check out your industry association’s website for more details.
How can I find a list of the top companies in my geographic area and industry?
We do not provide any lists of companies, nor do we have information on a specific company. We suggest you contact a private market research company for sales and marketing support, company databases/mailing lists and other services specific to your needs.
How can I start my own business?
The Small Business Administration provides information on how to start, finance and manage your business. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce also provides additional material on managing your business. |
