Hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Chamber Foundation, this event addressed the recent history of the attorney-client privilege, and how the right to this privilege has been seriously diminished through the application of Sentencing Commission and Department of Justice guidelines. Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-WI), Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, will address concerns over governmental policies that force companies to waive their attorney-client privilege. In addition, Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, will discuss the importance of the attorney-client privilege and the pending Supreme Court nomination. Ricardo Hinojosa, Chairman, U.S. Sentencing Commission is also among the featured speakers.
