What Are You Waiting For? America is Already Voting

Former Senior Advisor, Political and Federation Relations

Washington is fundamentally broken and Americans’ confidence in their government is at an all-time low.

But we have a historic opportunity in front of us. Election Day is around the corner and in many states, voting has already started.

We can change course in Washington by electing candidates who will restore leadership and focus on economic growth.

If we want real change we need to make our voices heard early.

Millions of Americans have already voted. 36 states allow some form of early voting, either in person or by mail. And every state provides absentee ballots.

The U.S. Chamber is active in many of the most competitive races in the country including in North Carolina, Iowa, Colorado, and Alaska, to name a few. Early voting is underway in each of these states and the outcome of some of these races could be decided before Election Day.

There’s no reason to wait. Voting early or absentee is the easiest and most convenient way to ensure your voice is heard. Check one more thing off your to-do list and cast your ballot today.

The U.S. Chamber recently launched GOTV.VoteForJobs.com, where you can find all the tools you need to vote in this election, either early or on Election Day.

The platform is a one-stop resource to access election information specific to each state and look-up early voting locations, request an absentee ballot, or find a November 4th polling place.

This is our most comprehensive online effort to date to ensure voters who support free enterprise and job creation are heard at the polls and to rally employees, customers, families, and millions of voters across the country to participate in the political process.

Whether you vote early or on Election Day, this election is too important to sit out.

We stand at a critical moment in U.S. history. The next class of leaders elected will shape key policy debates that will determine the path of our country’s economic recovery.

We owe it to future generations to make our voices heard and ensure that America’s best days still lay ahead of us.
