Allan Zaremberg is president and chief executive officer of the California Chamber of Commerce. He took over the top staff position in 1998 after six years as executive vice president and head of the California Chamber’s advocacy program. He also served on a number of public policy boards and commissions geared toward improving the California economy, and has previously served on the boards of the California Children’s Theater and the California Museum for History, Women and the Arts.
Before joining the California Chamber, Allan served as chief legislative advisor to and advocate for California Governors Pete Wilson and George Deukmejian. Prior to that, Allan worked in the private practice of law as a Deputy Attorney General and as a Captain in the US Air Force.
Allan has a BS in Economics from Penn State and a JD from the University of the Pacific.
